For roast beef po-boys or over mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
1 boneless beef or shoulder chuck roastflour to dust roast
3 tbsp olive oil
1 large yellow onion
1 tsp minced garlic
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 can beef broth
2 pkgs brown gravy mix
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Salt and pepper roast; dust with flour. Heat oil in skillet; brown roast on all sides. Place in crock pot. Slice and chop onions; brown onions and minced garlic; pour beef broth in and bring to boil; add Worcestershire, sugar, salt and pepper to taste, and add to crock pot. Cook in crock pot for about 4 hours until tender; remove roast. Add the brown gravy mix in broth and cook for about another hour; add roast. Serve with po-boys or over mashed potatoes.
