Sweet Heat Dipping Sauce (Popeye's Copycat Recipe)

Popeye’s Sweet Heat Sauce Copycat Recipe

 

¼ cup Apricot Jam

¼ white vinegar or a little less

2 tablespoons honey

2 ½ tablespoons light brown sugar

¼ teaspoon garlic

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

4 drops tabasco sauce

Pinch of salt

 

Pour all together and heat in a saucepan until sugar is melted. Boil for 1 minute. Cool then refrigerate.
